// meet the person behind the playbook

The Builder

Caleb Pierre

I'm a security engineer turned fintech CTO who got tired of watching people pay $1,200/year for form letters they could send themselves. So I open-sourced the playbook.

10-year career across enterprise security (Tinder, Verizon Media, CHLA, UCLA Health), fintech (Glass Financial — where I was CTO), and AI agent development (Caleb Pierre Ventures). I've seen what happens when systems aren't transparent. Credit repair is one of those systems — opaque, paywalled, and designed to make you feel like you need a middleman.

You don't. The Fair Credit Reporting Act gives you every tool. CreditCookbook just puts them in one place where anyone can inspect, copy, and verify them — no paywall, no upsell, no "schedule a free consultation."

The story.

I watched someone close to me pay a credit-repair company $99/month for 14 months — $1,386 total — for exactly three dispute letters. Three. The letters worked, but they were generic templates that any paralegal could have written in 20 minutes.

That same month, I was building AI automation systems that could generate, version, and distribute documents at zero marginal cost. The gap was obvious: the knowledge wasn't scarce, the distribution was just locked.

CreditCookbook is the answer. Open repo, static site, no login, no paywall. Every letter is inspectable on GitHub. Every claim links to the statute. If I'm wrong, you can see it. If I'm right, you can use it. That's the deal.
